Amazon has devised a new alert system that aims to make it easier to know when something you've bought on the site has been recalled.
The decision stems from a suit by the consumer product safety commission over products sold on amazon that the agency found to be unsafe, including children’s sleepwear. If a recall is announced or a product safety alert is issued, amazon customers will receive a personalised email with details about the recall, and see an alert banner on top of their “your orders” page.
